What materials are used when replacing your roof?

Decking

Underlayment
The underlayment is a very important part of your roofing system, it acts as a water resistant protectant over your ply wood to make sure no water gets into your home (It is very imports that synthetic underlayment is used)
Drip Edge
Drip edge is a metal lip that goes around the perimeter of your home. This protects water from protruding under your shingles and damaging your fascia (This became a part of Texas code in 2012)


Starter Shingles
These are a heavier shingle that are installed around the perimeter of your roofing system. (They are heavier and are your first line of defense when it comes to your shingle system)
